This file describes macro packages contributed to GNU troff.


boxes:

  This stand-alone macro package is a means to provide typographic
  templates for catalogue generators or similar programs.  The
  general idea is to separate the input data from the layout as much
  as possible; the only limitation is that vertical box lengths can't
  exceed the length of a single page -- there is no support for
  multi-page boxes.

mn:

  Provide margin notes.

ul:

  This add-on macro file defines a macro `.Underline' which
  underlines its arguments continuously.  It is completely
  transparent to justifying, this is, the text to be underlined (and
  the text surrounding it) is typeset identically to normal text,
  without any distortion in filling.

  Note that you can can use `.Underline' in diversions; it works also
  across page breaks and is robust against vertical position traps.
